The Tempranillo, Syrah and Grenache grapes were de-stemmed and fermented into open topped fermenters. The fermenting must was punched down twice a day. After primary fermentation was complete the wine was put into neutral French barrels and aged for two years.
In 2016 we experienced a warm growing winter on the Central Coast and then the weather cooled down in the summer and we had our marine layer come in for much of the summer.
The Tempranillo grape lends flavors of tart cherries & chocolate, with lush berry & spice flavors from the Syrah, and pretty strawberry aromatics from the Grenache. This is a beautiful easy drinking Tempranillo with juicy berry flavors. The wine is delicious and refreshing. It’s a red/rojo wine that is rockin’ delicious. Enjoy with good humor and beautiful music.
