This Tempranillo is an elegant example of Tempranillo from Ibarra-Young Vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 1999 but is not certified. There are two clones in this vineyard, the Rioja Clone which offers great structure and the Pesquera Clone that along with great structure has a lush fruit filled mid-palate.
The wine was aged in 2-year old Hungarian Puncheons for 20 months.
The resulting wine is medium bodied with sour cherry flavors with layers of plum and savory spice notes along with hints of cocoa.
